Its majestic head is well defined; the trunk raised as it to sound the trumpet of triumph - as if the bull elephant wants the world to know that it in deed is the real king of the jungle. A beautifully crafted piece of glass that has given an artistic twist to the manner in which an elephant can be imagined in glass sculpture - filled with myriad colours and proudly declaring its presence.
There is something pure and delicate about glass and when something as profoundly dramatic as an elephant head is crafted from it - it suddenly assumes a show of strength and pride. The artist has used simply the head and the trunk to define its royal presence. The usage of colours in the middle of the glittering head in itself shows a masterly usage of imagination. All of 12 cm in height and 9 cm in width, it would not only make a rather handsome paper weight on any desk and study - it would also look fascinatingly different when placed on consoles, mantles or on the shelf. To make its colours and patterns as well as shape stand out more clearly it should ideally be paced under a source of light where the multifarious colours in its for will get highlighted.
